The main bus station is located in Quepos so you will have to take a bus to this bus station and take a local bus to Manuel Antonio.
From San José
Take the Tracopa bus to Manuel Antonio which is a direct bus.
From Monteverde:
Take a bus to Puntarenas and then change buses to Quepos.
From David, Panama
Take the Tracopa bus. This bus travels across the border and you should leave the bus at Quepos. It is possible to leave the bus at Quepos but just make sure to let the driver know before the journey starts. You will be dropped off outside the hospital in Quepos and will need to take a local bus to the main bus station in Quepos, this will cost 450 CRC or $1. Or you could take an Uber to your final destination but this is more expensive. From Quepos, you can then take another local bus to Manuel Antonio.
Another option is you can take a shuttle bus to Manuel Antonio from any other big tourist destination. However, this is the more expensive option and prices can range from $30-50. Although it is quicker and the easiest option, it is definitely not the funnest way to travel. The best way to travel is with the locals and I promise this is not as hard as you think!

1. Manuel Antonio National Park
A must-visit destination for nature lovers is the national park. Immerse yourself in the park’s rich biodiversity, spot some monkeys, sloths, and colourful birds in their natural habitat. Explore well-maintained trails, witness stunning landscapes, and discover the wonders of this enchanting rainforest. You can either book onto a tour group or enter the park by yourself. There are plenty of different trails to explore so explore as many as you want.
You should purchase a ticket before entering, you can do this here. The entrance fee is $18. Remember not to bring any single use plastic as this is not allowed inside the National Park. Reusable water bottles are allowed, and there are drinking fountains throughout the park.
