How to get here?
You can use a shuttle bus to travel between different cities and countries to get to El Tunco. You could buy tickets with Gekko Travel or Rooney shuttles. These are expensive but a safe and quick way to travel.
The best way to travel is to take a chicken bus. If you are travelling from Santa Ana then head to the bus stop outside Metrocentro. Buses go to San Salvador fairly regularly and look for the number 201. Ask the driver to drop you off at Estación Ceiba de Guadalupe. Cross the road from here and take the 102a bus to El Tunco.
