How to get here?

If you wish to travel to Santa Ana from El Tunco first you will need to take the 102a bus to San Salvador. Ask to be dropped off at Estación Ceiba de Guadalupe. Once you arrive here you can cross the road and wait for the 201 bus to Santa Ana.
 
You can use a shuttle bus to travel between different cities and countries to get to Santa Ana. You could buy tickets with Gekko Travel. These are expensive but a safe and quick way to travel.

1. The Cathedral of Santa Ana

Hiking up Santa Ana Volcano offers adventurers a thrilling journey through El Salvador’s stunning natural landscapes and geological wonders. Rising majestically above the surrounding countryside, the vulcano, also known as Ilamatepeq, is one of the country’s most iconic peaks. Standing at an impressive 2,381 metres (7,812 feet) above sea level.
 
You will need a tour guide to reach the summit. To do this take a chicken bus from La Vencedora bus station. The 248 bus leaves at 7:30 am and costs $1. The journey will take 1 hour 30 minutes. A tour guide will greet you when you depart the bus and the hike should start shortly. You will pay $3 for the tour guide and $6 for the entrance to the park. It will take about 2 hours to reach the summit so bring plenty of water! Once you return to the starting point there is a bus which leaves at 1 pm or one at 4 pm back to Santa Ana.
4. Cerro Verde National Park
